As I reflected on the education that I have participated in the last two years I am anxious for the conclusion and the completion of my Bachelor of Nursing Science (BSN). I have long anticipated the completing of my BSN. Twenty plus years ago I was accepted into the University of Washington nursing program, but was third on the waitlist. Unfortunately, I did not move off the waitlist to start in the BSN program. Thus, I am at my finalization of my original goal, which is an achievement for me.
The program at Seattle Pacific University has been challenging in ways that I had not expected. Organizing my time at home with school assignments while working and fulfilling obligations to family, household, and finances has been somewhat of a struggle to balance. It is surprising how I can construct my day to accomplish a long list of obligations and still have moments to connect with family. I cherish the time I spend with family and realize how important family relationships can be in my life. My family has been exemplary in supporting my school efforts and encouraged my undertaking to obtain my bachelor degree.
General Education Integration
The general education requirements give anyone a broader background of knowledge. The studies have improved my communication by enhancing my writing competency, collaboration with colleagues, research capabilities, ability to analyze data, and critical thinking potential. The education that I have received has made me more comfortable with querying doctors and management on workplace standards and expectations. I recently questioned a process involving the radiology department and pre-operative services. This has lead to a revision of this practice and reinforced patient safety.

... the field of nutrition health. My college of choice would be Bastyr University. Bastyr has both a master’s in nutrition and nursing. It should be an interesting mix and one that I believe is up and coming in medical health. Having the expertise to assist people with attaining health by changing their diet to resolve their diabetes or high blood pressure is exciting to me. The transition to this career is one that I look forward to being a part of changing the way society views food.
Conclusion
I am now at the forefront of my initial goal to attain my BSN. It has been an elongated process, but one that I am glad to have accomplished. I have grown during this education, strengthen my nursing proficiency and expanded my leadership skills. I plan to advance my career, knowledge and stay informed of new technologies and discoveries in medicine. Nursing is a

Graduation Speech

- Good evening everyone. My name is Toyota Moko, and I am an international student from Japan. As the first-ever international student speaker on commencement, I am very honored to be here tonight to be given this opportunity to speak on behalf of the graduating class of the 2003. Born and grew up in Tokyo where speaking English was absolutely absent in my eighteen years of life, one day the life-changing experience came to me. When I was fifteen-years-old, the summer of 1998, I came to America for the very first time for the home stay program through my high school....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

- Members of the faculty, parents, guests, and graduates, have no fear. I am well aware that on a day of such high excitement, what you require, first and foremost, of any speaker is brevity. I shall not fail you in this respect. When we arrived at State College, all was new to us and we walked around looking up at everything in awe. As we have been preparing to leave, we were given the chance to see State College from the top of the tallest building, looking down on everything with nostalgic familiarity—inspecting the tiny people that bring State College to life, trying to imagine the countless buses we squeezed to get on, and the hours spent talking to friends....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

- Hello, good morning and welcome to graduation for the class of 2012. I have waited to hear those words for 5 years - and by the looks on all of my fellow graduates faces, I am not alone. Think with me for a minute about the process we have gone through which has gathered us here today. Our stories of these past years are not much different. Whether you went to a community college, transferred here from another four-year school or started your freshman year in the dorms near the entrance of this campus, we are finally finishing together....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

- (Love you mom and dad in Romanian) A lot of people here today probably didn't understand what I just said because I am Romanian, but if you take a look at my parents face they know I love them. - Ladies, gentlemen, parents, friends, family, staff, fellow students: Instead of taking up more time and reading my speech, it is available to you at http://www.olen’s_speech.com. Thank you. No, just kidding. But seriously folks... Today we are gathered here to celebrate our graduation from 12 long years of schooling. The education granted to us has been a privilege. - For some of you graduates, this will be the last ceremony you might ever sit through. Most of us, though, and I regret that I am in this group, will sit through many more ceremonies -- ceremonies longer and more tedious that this or anything else you can imagine. If you think this is bad, try a college graduation. Think, that is, attend a wedding. And, if just for a moment you think that that is bad, just be thankful you have never attended or will attend a Bar Mitzvah. The only ceremony I think anybody would truly enjoy attending is a funeral....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

Graduation Speech

- Welcome staff, students, family, and graduates. Today marks a special day in our lives. Today is the day of our graduation. It seems with every graduating class there is a certain amount of responsibility placed on the graduates. For this year’s class it is no different, in fact more has been placed on this class than any others in history. The Class of 2006 is going to shape our world for the 21st century; the Class of 2006 is going to improve our lives and our country. We can talk all we want about the things we want to accomplish or change, but if we do not reach out for opportunities, then all of these ideas are fantasies....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

- As you inhale the aggregate odor of your senior class for the last time, I’m sure there are many burning questions racing through your minds: “Will I find my place in the world?” If you’re lucky. “Am I really going to graduate a virgin?” Yeah, probably. “Who is that incredibly handsome young man addressing us, and how long do we have the privilege of listening to him?” Howdy, Andrew Gonzales here, and hopefully not long; I realize that your robes are making you sweat, your thongs are making you uncomfortable, and my use of the words “virgin” and “thongs” is making your parents sweaty and uncomfortable....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]
